The coaching staff, led by athletic director Robin Russo, took the ALS Ice Bucket Challenge on August 29, to raise awareness of the disease and inspire people to donate money to help research a cure. See http://www.alsa.org for more information about ALS, a progressive neurodegenerative disease that affects nerve cells in the brain and the spinal cord.
This is great! The fact that our teachers are stepping up to spread awareness just inspires students also. I want to see more things with the staff getting involved!
I love seeing awareness on ALS being spread out, even with teachers and staff from the school. People getting involved in the world around us, and doing great things really make a difference.
