Journalism class and Newspaper Club train students in reporting, news writing, photography and layout. All students are welcome to join our staff. See faculty adviser Sharon Schmidt or come to Newspaper Club after school in Room 333 on Mondays to join.

The Star welcomes comments to our articles, letters to the editor, photos, videos, and art work from all our readers. We’ll also accept news and sports reports from anyone in the Steinmetz community. If you want to see something in the Star, let us know.

The print edition is published several times a year. Playboy editor-in-chief and Steinmetz 1944 graduate Hugh Hefner’s donation to the Star covered the costs of printing the paper at Topweb, Chicago, for five years.
